Electrical engineering and automation has come out in front in the comprehensive evaluation of undergraduate education among colleges and universities in Liaoning. It is not only a program with distinctive features at the provincial level but also an experimental program of the comprehensive reform in Liaoning. This major aims at developing senior engineering and technical who have the basic theories and professional knowledge of building automation, electrical automation, communication automation, safety automation and power supply and distribution, as well as the basic ability of design, construction, system operation and maintenance of building electrical automation engineering, and are qualified for the design, construction, operation management, scientific research and teaching of the intelligent building and electrical automation engineering.

Compulsory courses: electric machinery and towage, power electronic technology, principles of automatic control, architecture power supply and distribution, fundamentals of architecture electric business, elevator control technology, building fire protection and security technology, cable TV and electroacoustic technology, microcomputer control technology, architecture electric lighting technique, electrical control and programmable logic controller, etc.

After graduation, the students may work at design institutes, colleges and universities, scientific research institutions and engineering companies, engage in engineering design, construction, management, scientific research and teaching works related to architecture electric and automation.
