Southern Medical
University started to enroll students in Clinical Pharmacy in 2002, aimed at
training professionals with solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills in
Medicine, pharmacy, clinical pharmacy and biology that can be engaged in a
variety of clinical pharmacy service, hospital pharmacy management, clinical
pharmacy research, drug pharmacy management and drug marketing, etc.. The main
courses include Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Cell Biology, Anatomy,
Histology and Embryology, Physiology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology,
Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Biological
Preparation And Pharmacokinetics, Clinical Diagnosis, Medicine, Surgery,
Pediatrics, Obstetrics And Gynecology, Infectious Diseases Science, Clinical
Pharmacology, Clinical Therapeutics, Pharmacy Administration, etc.
The duration of
studies is five years including one year of internship in the hospital.
International students who successfully complete the requirements of teaching
plan and pass all examinations will be reviewed and granted graduation.
Students in accordance with the Regulations of the People's Republic of China
on Academic Degrees will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in
Clinical Pharmacy in English.
