Southern Medical University started to enroll students in Nursing in 2004, aiming to cultivate talents with clinical skills engaged in nursing and preventive health care at various types of medical and health care institutions. The main courses include Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Basic Nursing, Health Assessment, Medical Nursing, Surgical Nursing, Nursing of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Pediatrics Nursing, Emergency Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Nursing Ethics, Nursing Psychology, etc..
The duration of studies is four years including one year of internship in the hospital. International students who successfully complete the requirements of teaching plan and pass all examinations will be reviewed and granted graduation. Students in accordance with the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Academic Degrees will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing in English.
