I. Educational Objectives

Students enrolled in our undergraduate program can learn fundamental theories, knowledges and skills in international economics and trade. The program aims to introduce students to the various issues in international trade and China’s economic development, to familiarize students with current regulations, rules, and laws of international trade and China’s trade policies and practices, to help students understand practices of multinational corporations doing business in China, to further develop skills of business management, market investigation, commercial information utilization, human resources management, and big data application in the field of international business.

II. Degree Requirements

International students are expected to show competency in Chinese, knowledge of Chinese laws and regulations, traditional culture and customs, affection for Beihang University, as well as pro-China principles. Students enrolled in this program must fulfill basic requirements of graduation that acquire essential knowledges and skills for practices and jobs of international trade, including basic theories of economics and international trade, and professional ethics and skills, and further be capable of a wide variety of job including analyst of international markets, negotiation of international trade, operations of import and export contracts, international business collaboration, big data of international trade, and e-commerce.

III. Characteristics 

This program aims to help students develop skills that are suitable in a wide variety of career options in international trade and economics, with the key features of “basis-widened, skill-emphasized, and international-oriented” trainings. The education program emphasizes on practical, professional, and international skills, with various courses such as international trade theory and policy, international trade institutions and laws, international marketing science, financial investment, and cross-cultural management and statistical analysis of big data. After graduation from this program, students would be prepared with innovation capacity and international leadership, which are essential for career development in international trading, international enterprise management, financial institutions, government, and academia.
