Beijing Foreign Studies University

Founded in 1941, BFSU is a prestigious university in China under the direct leadership of the Chinese Ministry of Education. It is one of China’s top universities listed under Project 985 and Project 211, both comprising top universities in China. BFSU is one of China’s oldest language universities. It is the first institution specializing in foreign language studies. It has the longest history among universities of its kind in China, offering a complete range of degrees, diplomas and programs at various levels, with the largest number of foreign language programs in the country.BFSU is also one of the first universities in China to accept international students.

1.Applicants must not have Chinese nationality under the nationality law of the People’s Republic of Chinaand hold a valid private ordinary passport; be subject to the additional regulations of BFSU based on Letter No.12 [2020] of the Ministry of Education if they are applying for bachelor’s programs.

2.Applicants must be physically and mentally healthy; meet the physical examination requirements for Chinese Visa and Residence Permit in China as well as the physical examination requirements for BFSU programs so as to ensure their study and life in China.

3.Applicants must have no record of discipline violation, of public security punishment or of criminal conduct; be friendly to China and behave well; comply with Chinese laws and university regulations, and respect Chinese customs.

4. Applicants must have graduated from high school, and be 18 years old or above, generally no more than 50 years old.
