Huazhong University of Science and Technology

HUST is a comprehensive research university under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education. It is a participant university of the former “985” Project in China, and one of the first universities approved under the national "Double First-Class" Initiative, China’s “Excellence Initiative” for institutions of higher education, ranking among the top ten universities in China. According to the latest 2024 U.S. NEWS and QS World University Rankings, HUST ranks 100th and 275th respectively in the world universities rankings; in the 2024 Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities, HUST ranks 79th. 1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizen, aged between 16 and 35 years, be friendly to China, have no criminal record, abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of HUST.

2. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, be in good academic and behavioral standing.

3. Applicants should have graduated from high school (Fresh graduates can provide a pre-graduation certificate during application, and provide graduation certificate before registration).

1.  Short-term Chinese Culture Program (1-4 weeks): 

This program aims to introduce and display preliminary Chinese culture and general situation to students through lectures, seminars and activities. Thus, students can experience China in many aspects directly and vividly and consequently get an objective and rich impression of glorious Chinese culture and ever-changing Chinese image.

2. Long-term Chinese Language Program (1 semester/year): 

This program offers multiple-level Chinese learning from A to F to meet the needs of international students from elementary level (A, B), intermediate level (C, D) to advanced level (E, F). This program will improve students’ communication ability of comprehensive Chinese language from listening, speaking, reading and writing.

3. Chinese Language +Internship 3+3 Program

3-month Chinese learning and 3-month enterprise Internship in Chinese companies, which can not only help students master basic Chinese communication skills and understand Chinese culture in a short time, but also provide students with valuable internship experience.

4. Business Chinese Program

This program focuses on basic topics in business communication. Through relevant courses from listening, speaking, reading and writing, learners could master the basic business communication ability in Chinese.

5. Intensive Training Program for HSK Test (Online)

This program aims at helping students understand the requirements, purpose, instructions and knowledge reserve of HSK test.

5. Communicative Chinese Program (Online)

To help international students improve their Chinese communication skills and enhance their interest in learning Chinese and Chinese culture.

Short-term Program: CNY 1500/week; 2200-2500/two weeks; 3500/three weeks; 4500/four weeks

“3+3” program: CNY 5000/program

Business Chinese Program: CNY 9500 CNY/semester

Intensive Training Program for HSK Test: CNY 400/month
