Situated in Nanjing, the ancient capital of six dynasties in Chinese history, Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST) was founded in 1953, and it is one of the seven universities affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. As a key university of “Project 211” and a member of the “Double First-class” construction universities and disciplines, NJUST ranks the 36th on the latest Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) and the 41st among all the Chinese Universities on QS ranking. The university boasts 2 gorgeous scenic campuses: Nanjing Campus and Jiangyin Campus, covering an area of 288 hectares.

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health both physically and mentally, observe Chinese laws as well as university rules and regulations, and respect Chinese customs and habits.

2. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a foreign passport.

3. High school diploma or certification of equivalent education.

A wide spectrum of extracurricular activities organized by School of International Education will facilitate students all-round abilities such as communication competence and literacy skills. The program is designed for foreign students who are interested in Chinese Language, Chinese traditional culture and improving their ability to apply Chinese in practice. Chinese Language Program is divided into two levels: beginner's class and intermediate class, and the teaching methods and contents can be flexibly adjusted according to the actual Chinese language level of the students.

Curriculum

There are two classes: Preliminary class and Intermediate class (based on HSK 3-4 Levels)

Main Courses include: Integrated Chinese, Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing, HSK tutorial or intensive, etc.
