Ocean University of China (OUC) is a comprehensive university with particular strengths in oceanography and fisheries science. We have four campuses. In 2017 OUC was included in China’s plan of building “Double First-Rate” universities, having previously also been on the list of “Project 985” universities (a list of China’s top 40 universities) and “Project 211” institutions (of China’s top 100 universities). It is now the recipient of significant national and provincial support and funding, which supports its bid to become a world class university.

Spring March Intake: December 15th, 2024

1. Applicants must be a citizen of a countriy other than the People's Republic of China, in good physical and mental health. 

2. Applicants should be aged 16-60 years old, hold a high school diploma. 

The long-term Chinese language program aims to improve students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing ability. According to applicants' levels of Chinese, there are elementary classes(Class A and Class B), intermediate classes(Class C and Class D), and advanced classes(ClassE). Four or five courses will be offered in each semester, mainly including intensive reading, oral Chinese, listening, reading, writing, newspaper reading,etc. One semester lasts 18 weeks, with four classes in the morning from Monday to Friday, and one or two Chinese cultural experience classes such as Chinese calligraphy, TaiChi, and Peking Opera in the afternoon.

Tuition CNY 7000/semester; CNY 14000/year. 

Accommodation CNY 5250-11000/year.
