Founded in 1958, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) is a national key university affiliated to Ministry of Education of China, a member university of China’s “211 Project”, “985 Project Innovation Platforms” and “Double First-Class University Project”. BUCT shoulders the mission of innovative talent training, scientific research, and high-tech development. After 66 years of continuous efforts, BUCT has developed into a multi-disciplinary institute with a solid foundation in science and engineering, along with other distinctive disciplines including business, economics, law, literature, philosophy, education and medical science. It has formed a complete talent development system from the undergraduate to doctoral training. In the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) rankings, chemistry, material science and engineering are among the top 1‰ in the world, computer science, environment/ecology, biology/biochemistry, geoscience, agricultural science, physics, Pharmacology & Toxicology, top 1%.

Eligibility



1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens with a valid private passport, be friendly to China, have no criminal records, abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and the rules and regulations of BUCT.

2. Applicants should be an academically excellent holder of high school diploma or its equivalent or above.

3. Applicants should be aged 18-50 years old, in good physical and mental health.

Program Overview



1. Three types of classes: beginner class, intermediate class and advanced class. The classes are determined by interviews and placement tests. 

2. Both semester and academic year terms offered, with each semester lasting 16-18 weeks. Two semesters per year.

3. Each week consists of 20 class hours, and each class hour is 45 minutes long. 

4. Emphasis on communication skills. 

5. A variety of cultural experience courses and events (such as calligraphy, Tai Chi, Peking Opera, etc.). 6. Free HSK training course

Fees



Tuition CNY 8250/semester, CNY 16500/year.

Accommodations CNY 60/day (Chaoyang Campus);

CNY 70/day (Changping Campus).
