1.Objective This specialty is aimed to develop students with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique and beauty. Moreover, this specialty is aimed to cultivate talents with professional knowledge and ability in computer software and hardware, program design and algorithm, information system analysis and development, data management, etc., who are familiar with the organization and operation mode of the financial field. Those talents can be competent for the information system design and development and application, (finance) data management and analysis in banks, securities, large and medium-sized enterprises and government organs, etc. 2.Admission requirements IELTS scores should not be less than 6.0, or TOEFL scores should not be less than 75, or pass the English Entrance Test organized by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. Students should have mastered the mathematical knowledge and certain mathematical tools at high school level, such as Algebra, Geometry, etc. Moreover, students should have mastered certain knowledge of computer sciences and modern information technology. 3.Training characteristics (1) Focus on cross disciplines. The professional training program is based on mathematics, combined with the school financial background, integrated with business management, economics and other disciplines related courses, focusing on cross-disciplinary integration between disciplines, training with mathematical thinking, computer technology and economic management and other multi-disciplinary knowledge of the composite application of talents. (2) Keep pace with the development of times. The two development trends of computer technology in the era of "Internet +" are the development of big data analysis and Web system. This training program has set up courses related to Web system software development and training courses of big data analysis and processing ability, which can meet the needs of society for talents. (3) Strengthen practice. The training program of this major pays attention to the cultivation of practical ability. In order to enhance students' scientific spirit, team spirit and sense of entrepreneurship, various forms of practical links are set up to cultivate students' ability to analyze and solve engineering application problems in data management and analysis, information system architecture, design and application by applying the professional knowledge which they have learned in the course design. 4.Employment prospects Graduates can be engaged in the operation and maintenance of software and hardware systems or the design and development of Web information systems. They can be competent in the application and design of information systems in banks, securities, large and medium-sized enterprises and government agencies, as well as in the management and analysis of (financial) data. 5.Degree structure The basic length of schooling for undergraduate course is four years. A flexible length of schooling is adopted. Students may graduate ahead of schedule if they have completed all the required credits and all the training programs. But the length of study shall not be less than three years. Those students who have not completed the credits and the training programs may postpone their graduation. But the length of study shall not exceed six years. The teaching mode is full time study. The teaching language is English. 6.Core courses Basic Courses: Advanced Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, and Management Principles; Core Courses: Basic Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structure, Computer Network, Operating System, Principles and Applications of Database Systems, Software Engineering; Special Directions: Web Front-end Development, Database Application Development, Data Mining, Financial Data Analysis. 7.Requirements for graduation Students of this major are required to take all kinds of courses
according to the requirements of the teaching plan. Students who have
completed the required credits of not less than 129.5, and have reac
hed the graduation requirements, will be awarded a graduation diploma.
